Yes. We have all contract associates complete a Background Check Authorization form. This authorizes us to perform the following background checks depending on your requirements.

We can perform these checks on a one-time-only basis or annually, depending on your requirements. We can also evaluate information technology and technical engineering skills through our partnership with an industry-leading on-line skill-testing organization. How am I invoiced?
You are invoiced according to the billing requirements. Timekeeping can be managed in a number of ways ranging from faxed timeslips to SOS Web TraxTM, the internet browser-based component of our SOS TraxTM suite of timekeeping services. We can also implement an electronic funds transfer program to complete a seamless timekeeping, invoicing and payment process.
How can I keep track of my staff?

Can I hire your contract employees?
Yes. We have always offered our customers the utmost in flexibility regarding transitioning employees. We advise clients to consider our contract-to-permanent option, because it allows both you and our associates to evaluate one another before making a decision. You can transition our associates anytime, but there is a pro-rated fee when transitioning before completion of a contract assignment. However, our philosophy is to be customer-driven and flexible to your needs, so we also provide a direct placement option with guarantee.
How does my company protect its proprietary information when using contract services?
Because we work with many companies who are involved in cutting-edge technology, we treat this subject very seriously. Each employee signs documentation related to code of business ethics and conduct, proprietary information, confidentiality of client information and property rights before they report to you.
What employment responsibilities are covered and how do I request certificates of insurance?
SOS Technical pays all wages and makes all deductions, deposits and payments required by federal, state and local laws. These include:
Social Security contributions
Medicare
State and Federal unemployment tax
Disability
State and Federal income taxes
Tax filing and record keeping
Part of the consideration you pay for our services is applied to workers' compensation and employers' liability insurance, which we provide for each employee assigned to you.
We will provide certificates of insurance-with specific client name and address-within 24 hours of a client request.
How do you find your contract associates?
Long before you ask us to fill positions, we are recruiting qualified candidates. SOS Technical utilizes state-of-the-art recruiting methodologies and tools to identify top talent for your company. Our proprietary candidate database and industry-leading staffing resource management tool ensures you will get the best possible technical candidates to fit your needs-and in the least possible time. In addition to our proprietary candidate database, we utilize an open-source candidate database methodology with internet-enabling tools to ensure we are we have the most current available pool of technical contractors for you. SOS Technical proactively recruits candidates for our clients' future assignments and utilizes the most popular internet jobsites, as well as traditional methods including: technical job fairs, print advertising, networking and technical user groups. Most importantly-we maintain ongoing relationships with our contract associates who trust us to recommend them, and their friends (referrals), for future contract assignments.
Do I need to be concerned about co-employment issues?
No. The best way to solve potential co-employment issues is to have SOS Technical perform as many of the following tasks as possible:
- Recruit, screen and hire contract associates
- Record employment terms, including compensation in an employment contract
- Assign employees to specific locations with known job responsibilities
- Withhold and pay all payroll and related taxes, as well as workers' compensation premium/benefits
- Make health insurance available and handle all related administrative issues
- Pay and administer vacation, holiday pay and other applicable benefits
- Pay approved business expenses incurred by employees
- Provide employees communication materials such as: orientation material, employee handbooks, safety training, etc.
- Be involved in negotiating compensation adjustments
- Arrange time
- Handle all terminations of employment
- Maintain ongoing contact with the client regarding contract assignments
